Thanksgiving shirts don’t need to be clever. “Gobble Gobble” is loud, it’s easy to read across a crowded kitchen, and it’s a phrase little kids can read for themselves. This download gives you the phrase three ways, plus a fourth file for the adult who plans to eat a lot of pie.
All four are built for iron-on (HTV) and each one was checked at its own size: a 10.1 in adult design with script over capitals, the same turkey-and-lettering design at 8.1 in for a youth shirt and 5.6 in for a toddler, and a 10.1 in “Gobble ’til You Wobble” for grown-ups.

| File | Size | Material | Layers | Check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gobble Gobble, adult shirt | 10.12 × 4.88 in | HTV (iron-on) | 1 layer | ✓ Cut-checked |
| Gobble Gobble with turkey, youth shirt | 8.12 × 7.62 in | HTV (iron-on) | 1 layer | ✓ Cut-checked |
| Gobble Gobble with turkey, toddler shirt | 5.62 × 5.38 in | HTV (iron-on) | 1 layer | ✓ Cut-checked |
| Gobble 'til You Wobble, adult shirt | 10.12 × 6.25 in | HTV (iron-on) | 1 layer | ✓ Cut-checked |
The four designs
Adult, script over caps. A thick brush-script Gobble (Pacifico) sits on top of widely spaced GOBBLE capitals in Archivo Black. The tail of the script G dips down between the capitals, and the capitals are trimmed back around it with a small even gap, so the two words never touch and there’s no sliver trapped between them. It’s 10.1 x 4.9 in, a wide, low shape that sits nicely across an adult chest.
Youth and toddler, turkey on top. Our fan-tail turkey stands above two stacked lines of GOBBLE in Titan One, a rounded, chunky display face that holds up well at small sizes. It’s the same artwork at 8.1 in and 5.6 in, but we checked each size separately, and the toddler size is the one to be careful with. The turkey carries its detail in knockouts: holes for the eyes, outlined wings and an outlined beak and wattle. At 5.6 in, the middles of the wings and wattle are small islands of HTV you need to keep on the carrier. The file has 23 pieces in all, including the 12 letters.
Gobble ’til You Wobble. GOBBLE and WOBBLE in Titan One, matched to the same width, with ’til you in Pacifico between them. The apostrophe and the dot on the i are separate little pieces, so watch for them when you weed. 10.1 x 6.25 in.
Every file passed our iron-on check: no stroke thinner than 0.04 in, no piece smaller than 0.08 in, and no gap too narrow to weed at the listed size.
What you need
- Cutting machine and a standard grip mat
- Iron-on (HTV) in one color
- Weeding hook and tweezers
- Heat press, EasyPress or household iron, plus a pressing sheet or parchment
- A pre-washed shirt (cotton or a cotton-poly blend takes HTV well)
- Ruler or a folded-shirt crease for centering
Making the shirt
- Pick the file that matches the shirt. Upload it in Design Space with Upload > Upload Image > Browse. New to that? The upload guide has screenshots. Silhouette Studio needs Designer Edition for SVG, or you can open the DXF from the ZIP.
- Confirm the width. 10.1 in for either adult file, 8.1 in for youth, 5.6 in for toddler. Measure the shirt too; the design should leave some room at each side seam.
- Cut mirrored. When you select an iron-on material, Design Space mirrors the mat for you. Glance at the Mirror toggle on the Prepare screen to be sure, then load the HTV shiny (carrier) side down.
- Weed. Peel the background slowly. Then clear the letter counters (the holes in the O and each B) and the turkey’s eyes. On the turkey files, leave the wing and wattle centers on the carrier. Our weeding guide covers keeping small parts in place.
- Press. Pre-press the shirt, center the design, and press with the temperature, time and pressure for your exact HTV and fabric from the Cricut Heat Guide or the vinyl maker’s sheet. Peel warm or cool as they say.
For the youth and toddler files, fold the shirt in half lengthwise and press a light crease with your fingers. Line the middle of the turkey’s beak up with that crease and the whole design ends up centered. First time pressing a shirt? Your first Cricut shirt goes through placement and pressing step by step.
Sizes for different shirts
| Shirt | File | Width |
|---|---|---|
| Adult shirt or sweatshirt | Adult, or ’til You Wobble | 10.1 in |
| Adult XL and up | Adult, or ’til You Wobble | 10.1 to 12 in |
| Youth shirt | Youth | 8.1 in |
| Toddler tee | Toddler | 5.6 in |
| Tote bag or apron | Any adult file | 10.1 in and up |
Enlarging any file is fine. Shrinking isn’t: the toddler file is the smallest turkey we checked in HTV, and below 5.6 in the gaps around the wings and wattle can get too narrow to weed. For a baby onesie, use the Little Turkey file, which comes at 4.6 in and was checked there.
Making a family set
Put the kids in the turkey version and the adults in the script-over-caps version, all in the same HTV color. The shared word ties the set together without everyone wearing an identical shirt. Brown on cream or orange on navy both hold up at a distance.
Want two colors? Both adult files split cleanly because no word touches another. Cut the file twice, keep the script from one color and the capitals from the other, and press them side by side. On the Wobble file that means ’til you in one color and GOBBLE and WOBBLE in the other. Nothing overlaps, so there’s no trimming. See how to layer HTV for pressing a second color without re-melting the first. If you’d rather have a full-color turkey, the layered turkey SVG is the one to use.
Troubleshooting
If the counters in the Titan One letters won’t pop out cleanly, the blade probably isn’t cutting all the way through the HTV. Try a small test cut first and check your material setting. If the fine parts of the turkey’s toes curl up after pressing, give that area a second short press through a pressing sheet, since the feet are the narrowest part of the design and have the least adhesive holding them down.
Questions
What size should a Gobble Gobble design be on a kid’s shirt?
Our youth file is 8.1 in wide and the toddler file is 5.6 in. Measure across the chest and leave some room at the seams.
Is the Gobble Gobble SVG one color?
Yes, every file is a single color. The turkey’s detail comes from cut-out eyes and outlines, not extra layers.
Can I use the toddler file on a onesie?
It’s 5.6 in wide, which is big for most onesies. Our Little Turkey design has a 4.6 in onesie file checked at that size.
Can I sell Gobble Gobble shirts?
Yes, up to 500 handmade items per design, but not the file itself. Details are on the license page.
